How to tell if something is “Urgent” or not: imagine it is 3:00 a.m. and you have my phone number. Would you call me?
That’s what I mean by urgent but actually there are two sub-categories of ‘urgent’
These are not metaphorical or allegorical or anything like that. Please choose appropriately.
If you are writing to ask me to review something for TUAW: Do not use ‘Urgent’ under any circumstances. See the ‘TUAW’ section of this page, below.
If your message is not urgent, you can specify that too.
I generally read my email at least once a day, so don’t choose ‘urgent’ if it isn’t. Please.
I hjate typos but I make them all the time, mostly because I’m a terrible typist. If you find one, please do let me know about it. Be sure to include the URL where you found the typo.
(Note: yes, I know there’s a typo in the previous paragraph. I didn’t put it there on purpose, but once I saw it I decided that I would leave it. You don’t need to tell me about that one.)
If you are just trying to reach someone from TUAW.com then you should use this form and it will go to the entire TUAW team.
If you need to send a message to me directly, you can do that through the form which is linked below. Please select ‘TUAW’ from the dropdown.
Please note the following which is a summary of TUAW’s official policy:
TUAW is commonly provided with not-for-resale licenses or promo codes to permit product evaluations and reviews. Promo code requests are not guarantees of reviews. For more details, see our policy page: http://www.tuaw.com/policies
Emphasis added.
(If you need an actual email address to send an NFR license, please use “NFR” at this domain.)
Usually if I receive a promo code for a piece of software and decide I like it enough to review it, I buy a copy of it for someone else using the App Store’s “Gift This App” feature (if it is available via the Mac App Store) or just a buy a license from the regular store for non-MAS apps.
Please note that I (and all of the other writers at TUAW) receive far more requests for reviews than I/we could ever possibly write. Please understand that if your app does not get reviewed, it is nothing personal.
Here is my contact form. Again, please choose the “Category” carefully and appropriately.
